Charity Donation from The PFA

The Professional Footballers Association’ has generously donated the shirts of Belgian professional footballer, Eden Hazard, who currently plays for Chelsea; and English professional footballer Harry Kane, to the Stiliyan Petrov Foundation.

As a partner of Pro Sport® Wealth Management, we know very well that the Professional Footballers’ Association is always keen to support worthy charities, with the Stiliyan Petrov Foundation being a cause that’s close to the hearts of sports professionals and football fans across the globe.

As an association proud of the hard work of their football professionals, it’s only natural that they would stand by the retired Celtic and Aston Villa player, Stiliyan Petrov, whose career was brought to a standstill after being diagnosed with acute leukaemia in 3 years ago.

Established in 2013, the charity raises funds for lifesaving research into leukaemia, improved patient medical care and support for families during these difficult times. The vital research being funded by the Stiliyan Petrov Foundation centres itself around the aim to develop less invasive and aggressive procedures to the disease’s treatment, ultimately helping to reduce the number of relapses occurring each year.

This research includes the furthered development of T-Cells, being carried out at University College London Hospital and the Figaro and Viola studies at the University Hospital Birmingham. Through the funding of these studies, the Stiliyan Petrov Foundation hopes to one day find a definite cure to leukaemia.

The signed shirts will be auctioned off in order to raise funds for the Stiliyan Petrov Foundation in the near future. We hope as many people as possible will be able to contribute to the bidding, raising funds for this remarkable charity and the work it will carry on to do until a cure is found.
